Among the many events happening in Whitehaven this year, one of them is almost guaranteed to be seen by most.
That's because it's a repeat of the famous shop and business window exhibition last half during the second lockdown.
Whitehaven Town Council and local businessman Gerard Richardson MBE are calling for any business owner with a window onto the High Streets in Whitehaven to host their ever-growing collection of nostalgic photos of past Whitehaven.
Gerard Richardson said: "The first time I did this was over 30 years ago in a newsagent window in Hensingham Square and the display was so popular, it stayed until the photos curled in the sunlight, and when we did it with the town council during the lockdown, the feedback was fabulous."
Whitehaven Mayor, Charles Maudling: "The photo exhibitions we've staged in recent years have been really well received and this year will be bigger and better and it just adds to the growing list of events in the town with everything from fun days and markets to live music with Internationally acclaimed artists."
