A ROAD has been closed this morning following the 'partial collapse of a barn'.

Cumbria County Council said on social media they have received reports of the collapse of the barn which is located by the A595 at Muncaster.

It was first reported at 5.30am this morning.

There is currently a lane closed as the situation is being dealt with and Cumbria County Council said they are working with building control experts to determine next steps.

They said: "Expect delays if you use this route for your commute."
