The 2023 Formula 3 season kicked off in Sakhir, Bahrain last weekend, and Whitehaven's Jonny Edgar bagged himself some points.
Formula 3 is set up different to Formula 1; on a Friday, there is one free practice session of 45 minutes and one qualifying session of 30 minutes.
One sprint race takes place on Saturday and consists of 40 minutes plus one lap.
The feature race takes place on Sunday morning ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix and consists of 45 minutes plus one lap. Points can be taken fom both the sprint and feature race.
Jonny Edgar, who joined MP Motorsport last year, had a tough feature race finishing 23rd, after gaining 15th place in qualifying - but managed to bag himself points from the sprint race with a ninth place finish.
However, following a blow to his season last year after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease, the young Brit showed he is staying around this season.
The MP Motorsport team showed speed as Edgar's team mate Colapinto finished second in the sprint.
