A CHILDREN'S football team has recently received essential sponsorship for new kits and equipment. 

Bransty Rangers under-10s have recently been sponsored by Charcoal Grill, a takeaway restaurant in Whitehaven, who have shown their support for the local club. 

One of the team's coaches, Mike Saunders, said: "Every now and again we have to look for a new sponsor, our last sponsor didn't want to renew their deal so as we'd took more kids on we wanted to look for new sponsorship. 

"We were looking for funding for the kids not only to have new home kits but also training hoodies and jackets. 

"So, we approached Charcoal Grill who kindly agreed to sponsor us and offer us some essential funding for the new clothing. 

"Every age group has their own sponsor so for this age group it looks like we could be looking for a long-term sponsorship helping out the team, funding the kids and getting them playing."
