CUMBRIA based specialist systems integrator Delkia has announced it will take on at least two more degree-level apprentices in addition to its four current apprentices.
One apprentice is Hayden, who is completing a degree-level project management apprenticeship which sees him spend four days a week in the office and one day at the University of Cumbria.
Hayden said: "I wanted to get a qualification and first-hand experience in the workplace."
He chose Delkia because: "I liked the way the company worked. Everyone’s view is listened to, and I have the freedom to make a difference."
Sophie also joined Delkia after completing her A-Levels at West Lakes Academy. "I had always wanted to do HR, it’s a challenge I wanted to pursue," says Sophie.
Kurt Canfield, CEO said "This is part of our commitment to growing the next generation of employees"
"We want to give opportunities to talented young people in the communities in which we are based, and apprenticeships are a great way to do this."
