A woman has been fined for assaulting a police officer.
Mollie-Anne Wookie, 21, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker, when she appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Wookie, of Bank Yard Road, Parton, Whitehaven, assaulted the police officer in Workington on December 30.
She was fined £140 and must pay £85 costs and a £56 victim surcharge.
An application was made for deductions to be made from the defendant’s benefits.
