A BURGLAR stole mountain bikes and a lawnmower worth nearly £6,000 from a shed.
Linden Barwise, 31, of Folly Fauld, Lamplugh, admitted two charges of burglary other than dwelling – theft, when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Barwise entered a shed at Lund Cottages in Lamplugh as a trespasser and stole a Honda lawnmower worth £1,942, between October 27 and November 3 last year.
He also entered a shed at The Lund in Lamplugh as a trespasser and stole three mountain bikes worth £4,000, between November 1 and November 4 last year.
The case was adjourned to allow the probation service to prepare a pre-sentence report.
Barwise will be sentenced at Workington Magistrates’ Court on January 24.
He was granted unconditional bail.
