This week our Wedding Album looks at the day that Ashleigh Offen and Jordan Byrne of Egremont tied the knot.
Ashleigh, a care assistant, and Jordan, a plumber, met in September 2017 in the Black Bull pub in Egremont.
Jordan proposed in April 2020 during the first lockdown. Ashleigh said: "Four days after our youngest daughter was born in lockdown Jordon shouted me downstairs.
"I ran down in a panic thinking something was wrong with the kids and the two older kids had signs and there was one infront of our youngest saying 'Will you marry our daddy'?"
The couple were married two years later at St Mary and St Michael's Church in Egremont. They then had their reception at the Falcon Club.
The theme for their wedding is burgundy and navy. Ashleigh wore a Dando London dress. She said: "I loved my dress so much, it had such a lovely back drop on, totally different to anything I’ve ever seen, I got it from Te Amo in Workington."
She went onto describe who did her hair and make up for the event, she said: "Jamie Ditchburn from Tony Marks in Egremont was absolutely fabulous, everyone’s hair was stunning.
"The make up by Emily mullholland from Sparkles Egremont did the bridesmaid's makeup, they all looked gorgeous. Karlie Reay did bride's and mother in law's makeup."
The groomsmen included: Ryan Byrne, 30, an usher and brother to the groom, David Long, 36, an usher and best friend to groom, Stuart Fleming, 40 and best friend to groom, Myles Quinn, 20, an usher and the bride's sister's boyfriend and Kyden Offen, 7, who was page boy and the bride's son.
The bridesmaids were: Kayleigh Offen, 24, maid of honour and sister to bride, Lauren Story, 27, a bridesmaid and best friend to bride and Shauna fleming, 26, a bridesmaid and best friend of bride. All their dresses were from everpretty.com
The flower girls were Lexi Place-Byrne, 8, Iylah Byrne, 2 and Oakley-May Kendall, 2. Their dresses were made by a company called the Cherri trifle.
The flower arrangements were described as: stunning burgundy, navy and white flowers made by the very talented ladies at wreath with envy. The transport was two cars provided by a Touch of Class from Workington.
Ashleigh continued: "About 100 guests attended, our reception meal was 3 courses at around 4pm in the Falcon Club supplied by O’Hallorans. Our wedding favours were hand make key rings made by my very talented mother.
Their cake was a one tier white round cake made by Kerslie Luktang and their first dance was Shane Filan – Beautiful in white.
She continued: "Haydan Small kept us entertained all day but Jenny Ball was our singer at our evening reception, such a talented singer with a powerful voice, she had everybody up dancing.
"Our photographer was Georgia Wilkins, she was such a lovely girl who made a very nervous and stressed out bride very relaxed, I met her the morning of my wedding and I feel like I’ve known her my whole life now, the photos are amazing."
