FLOOD alerts have been announced for the west Cumbrian coast, from St Bees to Silloth, as flooding is 'possible' and residents should be prepared.
Flooding is possible in this area as water levels rise due to heavy rain. The alert was produced in the early hours on January 10.
The Environment Agency Flood Warning System says: "Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
"Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one."
The Environment Agency Flood Warning System has issued the message based on rising river or tidal levels.
