The Rum Story visitor attraction in Whitehaven has opened the doors of its cafe this week.
This is the first time that the cafe has been open since before covid and it is now under new management.
Jason Roper has taken over the cafe and has big plans to welcome more customers to the venue.
The cafe will be open from 9am until 4pm seven days a week.
Mr Roper said: "It's my first week of running the cafe and it's quiet; our main deal that we're offering is two meals for £12 and breakfasts and afternoon tea I'll also be joining the cafe onto Food Hub.
"I'm a chef by trade and I spoke to the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners and Louise Mckenna of The Rum Story, and they informed me that it was non for profit and the money would be going back in towards supporting Whitehaven harbour, which was something that I was interested in.
"So, if I can make the cafe a success it will mean more money will be going into Whitehaven itself.
"I'll be offering outdoor catering and buffets and with being a part of Food Hub people will be able to order for delivery or collection."
