Students from across the world, including ten from Ukraine, are boosting numbers as St Bees School continues to grow after its reopening.
Copeland council's Young Peoples' Champion, Jeffrey Hailes, attended a special Christmas lunch at the school last week.
"It was a great pleasure to attend the school for their Christmas lunch," he said.
"The school is doing well again and building up numbers after the reopening. Student from across the world attend here and we also have ten students from Ukraine. Some of the students have travelled back to the home countries for the Christmas break but some stay here in the UK."
Mr Hailes said a brass band was playing, which made the atmosphere even more festive.
The lunch was followed, later in the day, by a carol service in the Priory for which students have been practising for weeks, he said.
"As Copeland councillor and young peoples champion, it’s great to attend these occasions and the school put an awful lot of effort in this, not forgetting the kitchen staff who provided a beautiful lunch.
"I wish the school the very best for the future!"
