This week our Trader of the Week is AW Promotions & Events which is run by local entrepreneur Amy Wright.
Amy started the business this year to promote musicians and acts performing at venues in west Cumbria.
Since setting up she has worked closely with The Solway Hall, formerly the Civic Hall, to promote several acts, she also does a lot of social media marketing work.
Ms Wright said: "So what it is with my business AW Promotions & Events is that I promote bands and artists in Cumbria and beyond.
"There are two sides to it which is social media marketing and then the other side is events.
"On the events side at the moment the only client that I have is The Solway Hall. How it works is that when they have a tribute night on, they come to me to find the opening band or act.
"They will also ask me to help with their social media as well which involves everything live music related on The Solway Hall pages.
"I'm the administrator so I'll create all the text, all the writing and videos and then promote it through that and reach out to different media outlets.
"I was looking at the Facebook insight reports that you can do; I started doing their social media in March this year and then I've done a report up until December 6 and it's went from around 35 page likes and reaching 10,000 people to reaching over 50,000 people and the number of likes has increased.
"I'd noticed a gap in the market for Cumbria and beyond bands, I know there's BCC introducing and Radio Cumbria, but I thought that there is still a bit of a gap PR wise because there's so many different bands and artists to pick from.
"I like the business side of it and have written articles for companies in the past. For the business side of it I was advised to try and grow through social media and events.
"I think that my next step is to get a couple more clients on board and I'll be fully self-employed at that point."
Amy said that she'd like to thank everyone for their support over the last year, along with the bands and artists that she's worked with.
