Friends of Egremont Castle (FoEC) will be hosting a meeting this week to discuss future plans for the site.
Friends of Egremont Castle (FoEC) was reformed 18 months ago in order to develop and help maintain the castle and its grounds back to some of its former glory working in partnership with lord and lady Egremont, and the Egremont Town Council.
FoEC AGM will be held in the Egremont Rangers Amateur Rugby League Club, North Road, on Wednesday, December 14 at 7pm.
A spokesperson from the group said: "We held a very successful event at Easter along with the planting of the Queens Jubilee floral bed display – funded by very generous donations from the local community.
"This bed has been adopted by the FoEC group and is solely maintained by the group. FoEC has a range of future events planned and are looking to increase the number of volunteers to help with the adopted bed or whatever skills they have to offer.
"We look forward to welcoming you and will provide a visual display of what we have achieved and the potential future plans."
