A LOCAL funeral directors have set up a memorial tree to allow family members to place a bauble in memory of a loved one they have lost this year.
Yeowart Funeral Services located in Whitehaven have transformed the tree in their remembrance garden, which is adjacent to the plaques, to honour loved ones this Christmas, you can either write a bauble out there or bring your own.
The funeral director's have never done anything like this at Christmas before as people usually use the remembrance plaques to place anything but the tree is located near the main road where people can walk past and see the tree.
People can go at anytime in the day to use the tree and remember a loved one this Christmas.
John Yeowart said: "Christmas the worst time of year for someone who has lost someone, this can help keep their memory alive."
