THIS week our Trader of the Week is The Music Farm based in Egremont.
This recording studio has been apart of the local community for around three decades.
It is a popular place for musicians in the area to go and record their music, they also work with companies and have welcomed some high profile music personalities to their centre.
Tom Tyson, who owns and runs The Music Farm shared their story. He said: "We do everything really and we've had a whole host of different clients.
"In a week we could be doing a voice over for The One Show, an ad for CFM or ITV Border or even creating a children's party where they sing along to their favourite records.
"We could be working with a folk band where we'll lay strings over tracks, we could be working with a rock band or a singer/songwriter it just varies so much.
"The most famous person that we've worked with at The Music Farm is Simon Cowell. I used to work for him and I wrote some music for him and wrote two songs for an album for him.
"I then wrote songs for a TV series for him as well. I've also done a single for Dave Berry, a sixties artist, he was in the area last November playing at The Sands Centre and he popped down to record a couple of tracks with us.
"Over the years I've had people like Anne Nolan from the Nolan Sisters, Mik Kaminski from Electric Light Orchestra and Albert Lee a popular guitar player."
Tom explained that with so many people owning computers now many people have set up their own home studios to record music in. But he says that The Music Farm is one of the only recording studios in the local area with a professional set up.
He says that The Music Farm do a lot of work in the community including working on school choirs and community concerts.
