A SERIAL charity-fundrasier has raised more than £2,000 for a therapy dog charity.
Jane Foster is originally from Brampton, Cumbria and has been fund-raising for charities for almost 40 years.
Alongside her mum June Means, Jane has raised thousands of pounds for local charities with various fundraisers with her latest schemes involving crafts and baking.
The money raised by Jane and June will aid the work done by Therapy Dogs Nationwide, who deliver the benefits of playful pooches to hospitals, hospices, schools and care centres.
Jane's fundraising history traces back decades, including an eight-year period raising money for the Cumberland Infirmary after they took care of her late-grandad.
When exploring her passion for charity work, Jane explained that the process of raising money has become more difficult over recent years.

She said: "I enjoy doing it but it's getting harder and harder to raise money.
"People just don't have the money to give," she continued.
Despite the challenges facing fundraising, Jane has powered on and in her latest charity event she has been raising money for Therapy Dogs Nationwide.
When asked about her reasoning behind supporting the charity, she simply said: "I just like dogs."
However, Jane has raised and donated money to a number of pooch-focused charities that support guide dogs and hearing dogs.
To raise this money, which amounts to a total of £2,400, Jane and her mum organised a craft fair and exhibition at Longtown Community Centre.
Alongside this event, Jane also explained what else she has been doing to support the therapy dogs charity.
She said: "I also sell crumbles at Brampton Market and all that money goes to the dogs as well."
This will certainly not be Jane's last fundraising project but to commemorate the effort she put on record her sincere gratitude to all those that supported her scheme.
She said: "I'd like to thank everyone that came to Longtown Community Centre, we had a great day."
