MARATHON man Gary Mckee has now been running for more than 930 hours as part of his epic challenge.
The Cleator Moor marathon man is running 365 marathons in 365 days to raise money for charities Hospice at Home West Cumbria and Macmillan Cancer Support.
In his weekly diary, Marathon Man Gary Mckee said: "Onto week 35 and the weather has been kind again.
"I can’t remember the last time it really rained. Not that it matters much, you’ve still got to get on with it.
"Another week and the kids will be back at school so the daily routine of high 5s will be back down at Mirehouse.
"Little Ernie’s challenge of cycling 31 miles throughout the month of August has also come to an end and he has cycled over 53 miles and raised almost £1,400.
"Incredible stuff from a 3-year-old.
"Some stats from the last 8 months:
- Over 930 hours of running
- 6450 miles ran
- Over 225 000 feet of ascent
- Over 1 million calories burnt
- Over 12 million steps taken
- I’m using over 20 different pairs of shoes
- Over 200 people have joined me running and cycling
- We’ve raised over £180 000 (including gift aid)
"Big thanks to everyone who is helping out with the challenge."
