An 18-year-old has been fined for being drunk and disorderly outside a town centre bar.
Police were stopped by security outside Club 135 in Whitehaven at 1.30am on July 10, Workington Magistrates’ Court heard.
Pamela Fee, prosecuting, said a group of males were causing issues with security and Jordan Ryan was being restrained by security.
The defendant was attempting to provoke fights and being a “general nuisance”, the court was told.
Ryan became resistant to police efforts. He smelled of intoxicants and was unsteady on his feet.
He was taken to the police station. During interview, he made no comment to every question asked of him.
Ryan, who was unrepresented, said he agreed with the case put forward by the prosecution.
The defendant, of Ennerdale Road, Cleator Moor, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £64 and must pay £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge.
