AN amateur football club that supports men in Whitehaven in becoming healthier will be hosting a charity event in September.
Tubby FC will be playing a game against Supporting Charities FC with the aim of raising as much as possible for BEE UNIQUE, who support children with autism and their families.
Supporting Charities FC is made up of a number of celebrities from TV shows like Emmerdale and Hollyoaks and former football players.
The fundraising event will take place on Sunday, September 11 at the Cumbria Sports Academy in Whitehaven.

Ian Fleming, who is involved with Tubby FC, said: "I set up Tubby Media and record all the games and have worked to set up their social media.
"We'll be organising the event for September, I got in touch with the guy who runs Supporting Charities FC, I wasn't expecting anything to happen but he got back in touch and said they'd be happy to do a match with us.
"This snowballed into what will now be a celebrity and family fun day. We wanted to get BEE UNIQUE involved right from the off and they've got onboard and will be organising the fun day part of the event."

Tubby FC have planned lots of fun attractions for families and their children including bouncy castles and inflatable games.
So far they have also planned an animal show with alpacas, a magic party show and a visit from Cumbria Superheroes, with much more to still be announced.
Ian explained that he hopes to raise around £2,000 for the charity and says that they have put a lot into organising the event.
He says that people in his family have autism as do other team members friends and family, which has further inspired them to show support for BEE UNIQUE's work.
Tubby FC are hoping for a big turnout.
