A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with burglary and assault.
Corey Williams, 21, of Melbreak Avenue, Cleator Moor, did not enter any pleas to the charges he faces when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court today.
Williams is charged with burglary and theft without violence, and assaulting a person occasioning them actual bodily harm.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Cleator Moor on July 17. Williams is accused of entering a property on William Morris Avenue and stealing two boxes of prescription medication.
He is then alleged to have assaulted a man, occasioning him actual bodily him.
Williams was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Carlisle Crown Court on August 16.
