Number 10- If you're a movie lover why not go to The Gaiety Cinema. This weekend they will be showing the new marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder.
Number 9- Rosehill Theatre always has something special happening, this weekend they'll be showing A-Ha: The Movie. A film about the popular 80s band A-Ha.
Number 8- Copeland is home to some of the most wonderful parts of the Lake District. Wasdale and Ennerdale are perfect places to enjoy a walk or a meal at a country pub.
Number 7- There are also some places more off the radar, Longland's Lake and Clint's Quarry near Cleator Moor and Egremont are wonderful places to relax on the weekend.
Number 6- If you take a trip to Wasdale, it is well worth a trek up Scafell Pike. If you're a fan of the outdoors and adventures then this walk is definitely for you. Scafell Pike is England's highest peak standing at 978 metres.
Number 5- Copeland is most certainly hope to the most cenic coastal areas around Cumbria. If you take the walk over the cliff tops and sea front from St Bees to Parton, you are sure to be impressed. You may even spot some marine life like porpoises.
Number 4- The weekend is the perfect time to go out and let your hair down. Why not head into town for a couple of drinks. The Royal Standard on the harbourside always has a great atmosphere.
Number 3- Whitehaven harbour is a wonderful place to visit in the summer months. It looks twice as good now that both lighthouses have been fully refurbished.
Number 2- With the summer holidays fast approaching you could always take the kids to Castle Park where they can enjoy the playground.
Number 1- There are some great places to go out and eat around Whitehaven. Akash Tandoori and The Sunny Hill are brilliant places for a weekend meal.
