Number 10- Copeland is home to some of the most wonderful parts of the Lake District. Wasdale and Ennerdale are both definitely worth a visit.
Number 9- There are also some hidden gems in our area that are great to enjoy, Longland's Lake and Clint's Quarry near Cleator are brilliant for countryside walks and a great place to spend a quiet afternoon.
Number 8- Muncaster Castle near Ravenglass is a wonderful tourist attraction and historic site which is a fun place for you and your family to enjoy.
Number 7- Just a stones throw away is The Ravenglass to Eskdale Railway or The La'al Ratty. A novelty railway line that takes you through seven miles of scenic Cumbrian countryside.
Number 6- Whitehaven Harbour is a lovely place to visit, the west pier lighthouse has recently been unveiled and the north pier lighthouse also will be soon. Making the area look extra special. You can enjoy the pubs and cafes the marina has on offer or just take a walk by the sea.
Number 5- Copeland is home to fantastic areas of coastline, St Bees, Seascale and Parton are all quiet seaside villages that are definitely worth a trip out too.
Number 4- If you walk over the cliff tops from St Bees you can also head into the hidden Fleswick Bay. The area looks truly amazing with cliffs stretching each side along the west coast.
Number 3- There are some great places to drink and enjoy a night out around Whitehaven. The Royal Standard on the harbour side always has a good atmosphere.
Number 2- You and your family could enjoy an afternoon in Castle Park, there is an enjoyable play park and some good routes to walk through the woods.
Number 1- There are some great chain and indpendent stores to visit in Whitehaven. Richardson's and The Rum Story shop are perfect for buying gifts.
