Number 10- Copeland is home to some wonderful parts of the Lake District, you could always pay a visit to Wasdale or Ennerdale. Both are lovely and scenic and have great country pubs.
Number 9- There are also some hidden country gems in Copeland including Clint's Quarry and Longland's Lake. Nestled between Egremont and Cleator, they are simply great places to spend an afternoon.
Number 8- There are some great places to go for a hike in our area, Dent Fell is not one to miss. Just outside of Cleator Moor the fell towers over the local area and has great views from the summit.
Number 7- On a sunny day Whitehaven Harbour is a fantastic place to explore. You can enjoy the cafes and eateries it offers or even take a walk to the lighthouses.
Number 6- In St Nicholas' Gardens this weekend there will be an Antiques Fair organised by Gerard Richardson and Whitehaven Town Council, there will be a range of goods on offer.
Number 5- With the weather being exceptionally hotter recently then you could always spend a day at the beach. St Bees is a fantastic place on the west Cumbrian coast to spend the day.
Number 4- There are also some exciting coastal walks you can enjoy around Whitehaven. From the town you can head over the cliff tops towards St Bees or along to coast to Harrington.
Number 3- The weekend is the perfect time to have a drink with friends. You can always head into Whitehaven and enjoy some of the pubs. The Royal Standard is one great pub on the harbourside.
Number 2- Muncaster Castle is ana amazing place to spend the weekend with your kids. There are lots of fun activities and the castle is rich in history.
Number 1- Just a stones throw away is The Ravenglass to Eskdale Railway where you can enjoy a scenic rail journey through the countryside.
