AN artist and musician from west Cumbria has been recognised for her charity work and volunteering.
Emma Hunt, of Egremont, has been given the Volunteer Award 2022 by Women Out West.
She has been working with the charity to provide art classes to west Cumbrian women.
Miss Hunt said: "I'm doing something that I love, so to be rewarded for it is just amazing. I'm pleased that I can use something that has helped me to support other people and give them something to make them happy."
Emma has been working with Women Out West since 2019 and even provided virtual art classes for the women during lockdown.

Those involved have produced some impressive art works and all seemed to have really enjoyed the classes.
The charity choose to recognise someone as part of Volunteers Week and this year, unbeknownst to Emma, they chose her.
They arrived at her home to present her with the trophy which she says that she is delighted with.
Emma will also be working with other charities over the coming months and will be hosting an art exhibition at The Rum Story in Whitehaven this summer.
