- If you are looking for a relaxing stroll this weekend why not head to some of Copeland's most wonderful country areas. Longland's Lake and Clint's Quarry near Cleator are great places to escape and enjoy the nature.
- Copeland is also home to some very scenic parts of the Lake District National Park. Ennerdale and Wasdale are two places in particular that offer magnificent scenery and charming country pubs.
- If you would like to see some of Whitehaven's little known history then you could always visit the old cemetary. The cemetery has a number of trees from around the world that were brought over by sailors some centuries ago.
- At Rosehill Theatre next weekend there will be a screening of the new movie Downton Abbey: A New Era. The film will be showing at 2pm and 7:30pm.
- The Gaiety Cinema will also be providing screenings of the latest blockbuster films for all you movie lovers to enjoy.
- The Beacon Museum on the harbourside has a number of fascinating exhibtions for you to enjoy. It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon.
- The Rum Story is also one of the town's treasures as it's exhibtion tells the rich history of the town's rum trade.
- Whitehaven Harbour is a great place to walk around or enjoy one of the cafes or pubs. You can also join onto the coastal path and head over the cliffs towards St Bees.
- There are some brilliant independent shops in Whitehaven which are perfect if you are looking to buy someone a gift. Richardson's and The Rum Story shop are two great examples.
- Why not go out and enjoy Whitehaven's nightlife there are some really good places to enjoy a night out like The Royal Standard on the harbourside.
