Amateur and professional artists from across Cumbria will celebrate creativity and place at a Florence Art Centre exhibition.
The exhibition runs until June 19 with a break between next Monday and Tuesday, June 7. inclusive.
The centre made the decision to close because of the number of Jubilee celebrations that will be taking place around the town.
Artful Ways is a collaborative touring exhibition involving amateur and professional artists from across Cumbria, including specially commissioned pieces.
The exhibition represents fascinating, diverse creative journeys and the resulting artworks: short films, paintings, prints, poetry, ceramics, sculpture and more.
The exhibition was developed and coordinated by Somewherenowhere, supported by Arts Council England.
This Saturday the centre will run Tiny Dressmaking for Beginners for children from 10 up.
On June 11, children aged seven up will be making signs for bees, giving them a helping hand to know where to go.and the following Saturday, for the same age group, will see children making shoes, boots or even stilettos out of old maps!
