Number 10- The Beacon is offering some fantastic attractions at the moment. The Yellow Earl- Life of High Lowther explains the history of one of Whitehaven's most eccentric characters. There is also a Pirates of The Beacon activity which is great fun for the kids.
Number 9- The Rum Story also offers some interesting exhibtions and displays explaining the rich history of Whitehaven's rum trade.
Number 8- There are some real hidden gems in Copeland which are a great place to spend time on a sunny day. Longland's Lake and Clint's Quarry near Cleator and Egremont are wonderful nature reserves where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll.
Number 7- Muncaster Castle is a fantastic place to spend a day out with your family. You can enjoy learning more about the history of Muncaster Castle or watch the owl and bird displays amongst many other fun things.
Number 6- Just a stones throw away from Muncaster Castle is the Ravenglass to Eskdale Railway. A novelty railway service which takes you through the heart of the Cumbrian countryside.
Number 5- Whitehaven Harbour is a very pleasant place to enjoy there are a number of bars and eateries which are just lovely. The west pier lighthouse has also recently been refurbished and looks very picturesque.
Number 4- If you are a movie lover then why not head down to The Gaiety Cinema. This weekend they will be showing Downton Abby: A New Era.
Number 3- You could always spend an evening at Rosehill Theatre, this weekend Rosehill's Comedy Club will be back for more fun and laughter.
Number 2- Why not enjoy some of Whitehaven's exciting nightlife, there is an array of pubs and clubs to keep you and your friends entertained.
Number 1- Copeland is home to some amazing parts of the Lake District. You could always pay a visit to Ennerdale or Wasdale.
