- The Leyland National 50 bus event will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Vintage vehicles manufactured by Leyland buses will be at Whitehaven Marina offering a park and ride service around the town centre and to Lillyhall where the old factory stands. There will also be continental markets to enjoy.
- The Gaiety Cinema is also a great place to go if you're a movie lover. This week they'll be showing The Bad Guys and The Lost City.
- Bank Holiday weekends are a perfect time to enjoy the Lake District. Why not head down to Ennerdale or Wasdale for a hike or a drink in a lovely country pub?
- The La'al Ratty is a great place for a family day out. Visitors can enjoy a novelty train journey through the countryside around Eskdale.
- Just a stone's throw away from The La'al Ratty is Muncaster Castle. A historic site surrounded by luxurious grounds and gardens. You can enjoy the castle's rich history or partake in the many activities going on around the grounds.
- On Friday Rosehill Theatre will be showing a screening of the classic story Phantom of the Opera. There is also an art exhibtion in the theatre showing how Covid has affected the area.
- If you are a rugby league lover you won't want to miss Whitehaven RL's match against Bradford Bulls. They will be playing against the Bulls at The LEL Arena this Sunday.
- There are some real hidden gems in Copeland to enjoy a truly relaxing weekend. Why not head down to Longland's Lake or Clint's Quarry for a nice walk in the countryside.
- Bank Holiday weekend will be a perfect time to enjoy the nightlife. You could always go into Whitehaven and go around the pubs and clubs that the town has on offer.
- There are a number of independent shops in Whitehaven like Richardson's and The Rum Story shop which offer a great place to buy quality goods.
