2 Why not visit one of Whitehaven's most popular attractions The Beacon, this weekend you can enjoyand exhibition about the eccentric Yellow Earl.
3 Whitehaven Harbour is a wonderful place to visit during the springtime. In the past week, the west pier lighthouse has also been unveiled after renovation and it is a truly magnificent sight.
4 The Rum Story is also another amazing attraction that is not to be missed. The exhibition details the history of the rum trade in Whitehaven.
5 Copeland is home to some wonderful areas of coastline which are perfect to visit on a sunny day. St Bees, Parton and Seascale are all picturesque places for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
6 There are also some wonderful lakes in the area. Ennerdale is one place that is perfect for a hike or stroll. There are also a number of pubs and eateries to enjoy.
7 In west Cumbria there are some hidden gems that are really not to be missed. Clints Quarry and Longland's Lake near Cleator are both amazing places for a relaxing day.
8 At The Beacon Portal this week there will be Whitehaven Artisan Craft Markets. Why not go down and take a look - you might see something you like.
9 Whitehaven has some great independent stores such as Richardson's and The Rum Story shop. They are great places to go if you are looking for the perfect birthday present.
10 Castle Park is a brilliant place to take the kids if you are looking for a fun afternoon. There is a play park and grass field where you can have hours of joy.
