The Whitehaven and District Amateur Operatic Society are looking for businesses in the area to offer a helping hand.
The theatre group are struggling to find sufficient storage for their costumes and are hoping a company could help them with this.
Costumes are costly for the group so they say that they will need any help they can.
Lynne McTiffin of the society said: "We're looking for some dry storage space for our costumes that we use in the theatre. We've had these costumes for a lot of years and is saves us money with hiring costumes when we can use the ones we have.
"It'd be a travesty if we had to throw them away or recycle them as costumes are very expensive for us."
Lynne explains that it would mean a lot to the society if someone was able to help out. She also added that they would need a 25 foot by 25 foot space to store them.
