Carlisle Bishop James Newcome will be popping into Egremont Market for lunch this Friday.
The visit is part of a 21-day Lenten Walk which will see him travelling around his diocese and meeting up with local people and clergy.
He may also get a chance to hear the Cockermouth Ukelele group who will be providing live entertainment at the market.
The Bishop will be served his lunch by members of the Wasdale Search and Rescue Team who will be raising money for good causes.
Market spokeswoman Helen Shipton-Smith said: "We are looking forward to welcoming the Bishop of Carlisle to the market on Friday morning from about 11.30am. Come down and say hello."
