Number 10- A new season has started for Whitehaven RLFC and on Sunday February 6 the club will be taking on their big rivals Barrow in a local derby match. It promises to be a great game and everyone in the club is eagerly anticipating Whitehaven's latest match. Why not head down and show your support.
Number 9- The Gaiety Cinema also has some great move screenings to offer. For a nice family day at the movies why not head down to enjoy Sing 2 or for a great day out with your friends Jackass Forever will be showing this weekend. The one screened venue has great, comfy, seating and a bar area where you can get food and refreshments.
Number 8- If you still need your movie fix then why not head up to Rosehill Theatre on Friday night where they will be showing Boiling Point, it promises to be a real treat.
Number 7- The Beacon Museum at the town's marina will be hosting it's new exhibition starting this weekend called Cumbria Thro' the Lens. They will also be hosting a quiet hour on Sunday when the lights will be dimmed and it will be a more peaceful visit for those who come along.
Number 6- Whitehaven offers a decent night life scene so if you are up for a bit of a party why not head out to some popular bars like La Venue or even a club like Joe Bananas.
Number 5- Whitehaven is right on the doorstep for the Lake District and within a half hour drive are the stunning locations of Ennerdale Water and Wastwater, both perfect for spending a peaceful afternoon.
Number 4- You could always spend you weekend shopping. There are a number of small independent businesses and chain stores to fulfill all of your needs.
Number 3- Whilst being close to the Lake District Whitehaven also offers great coastal walks. You can head over the cliff tops towards St Bees or Harrington taking in the stunning, scenic, views.
Number 2- There are some great day time eateries, especially on the harbourside, why not enjoy tapas at Anna's or a light snack at The Harbour Master.
Number 1- Whitehaven Park Run will be taking place again so if you are up for a spot of exercise head along and enjoy.
