WEST Cumbria River's Trust are looking for people to take part in a new placement scheme that will benefit the environment.
The opportunity is open for those living in the Copeland and Allerdale areas and is operated on a voluntary basis with travel and expenses covered.
Cathy Gruba, West Cumbria Rivers Trust’s learning and engagement officer, said: "We understand how difficult it is to get work experience as a young person, and we are keen to give someone a step onto the ladder.
"We have a lot of opportunities for the right person to learn new skills.
"As a guide we are looking for someone 18-plus who is confident working outdoors and has a driving licence and access to their own vehicle."
One position has a focus to support the delivery of the Trust's busy learning and engagement programme, including working with primary schools and delivering Forest Schools.
The other is a general conservation role to gain experience working across WCRT's varied projects including natural flood management, invasive species, habitat improvements and yearly fish surveys.
For further information please contact Cathy Gruba or send your CV and covering letter to cathy@westcumbriariverstrust.org or phone 07494425759.
