With only a few days left until Christmas, we have compiled a list of activities and events you can take part in to make the most of the festive period.
Here are ten things you can get up to in and around Copeland over the Christmas period.
1. Eskdale Mill
The historic mill museum in Boot features the last working water corn mill in the Lake District - one that dates back to the 1500s - and has a newly installed interactive exhibition.
2. The Woolly Farm
Although no longer open to the public, The Woolly Farm in Santon Bridge does occasionally offer llama and alpaca walks. The farm in the Wasdale Valley, which specialises in the breeding of llamas; alpacas; rare breed sheep; pygmy goats and pigs, offers a great day out for animal-lovers.
3. St Bees
A day out to the beach may seem less appealing at this time of year, but a walk along the St Bees coastal path offers incredible views and a chance to spot some wildlife all year round.
4. Live music in Whitehaven
If Live music is your thing, Cumbrian rock band Sneaky Finch will be playing a live gig The Yellow Earl in Whitehaven on Boxing Day at 12pm.
5. Go-karting
Described as "one of the best circuits in the UK", the Cumbria Kart Racing Club track in Kirkland, Frizington offers a fun day out for friends.
6. Egremont Castle
Built between 1130 and 1140, Egremont Castle is accessible at any time of the day and offers the opportunity for a peaceful stroll with a bit of history tied in.
7. Walk around Buttermere
A walk around one of the Lake Districts most scenic lakes can be tied in with a visit to the equally spectacular Scale Force Waterall or Crummock Water nearby.
8. The La'al Ratty
Affectionately called the La'al Ratty, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a great day out for families and a chance to take a ride on one of the countries few remaining steam trains.
9. Blakeley Raise Stone Circle
Standing on a small plateau of land at the edge of Blakeley Moss, Blakeley Raise Stone Circle dates back to the stone age. The incredible sweeping views around the stone circle itself is a good enough excuse for a walk there with friends and family.
10. Beacon Museum
Tuesday and Thursday are your last chances to catch some of the exhibitions on show at the Beacon Museum in Whitehaven before it closes for the Christmas period. Opening times will be between 10am and 4.30pm.
