A youth charity is in search of a temporary venue after a community hall was closed due to health and safety reasons.
St Peters Community Hall, which is used by the South Whitehaven Youth Partnership (SWYP), has been forced to temporarily close due to roof issues causing water to leak in various parts of the building.
The SWYP were forced to cancel their Junior and Senior youth clubs on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for SWYP said: "We are having discussions about a temporary venue close to St Peters..."
"We hope Thursday youth clubs will go ahead in the new venue - however we will keep you updated.
"Staff are currently working from home and the Mirehouse Youth Clubs will continue to run as normal."
More recently, the youth charity announced that they have been awarded £60,000 from the Lottery Reaching Communities fund to support the youth work delivery across South Whitehaven over the next three years.
