A popular visitor attraction in Whitehaven is now offering an online store selling produce from locally sourced traders.
The Rum Story in Whitehaven has set up the shop to showcase a selection of fine Cumbrian Produce and artisan spirits.
This helps to promote small traders in the area and give them a chance to sell their goods on a wider level.
Louise Mckenna, Rum Story Manager said: "The Rum Story Shop has held an important place at the heart of Whitehaven for over 20 years, with the Jefferson’s brand itself being a staple of Whitehaven history since 1785. We are so proud to be here today not only selling our own branded products but to be supporting other local Cumbrian artisan businesses. We feel more than ever that supporting other local businesses is the right thing to do.
"We were very lucky to have been in receipt of a grant from the DCMS Cultural recovery fund which allowed us to fully re open the Rum Story Visitor Attraction which has in return led us to this new and exciting adventure. Our beautiful new online shop launched yesterday and offers a delicious selection of fine Cumbria produce and artisan spirits."
Some of the products on sale that are sourced from around Cumbria are Northern Soul Scents, Castle Chocolates and Wild and Fruitful.
This coincides with the traders markets that have been occurring regularly around the town over the past year.
These have also given small traders a chance to sell their goods on a wider level than they would have previously been able too.
It is an opportunity to increase footfall in the town and put Whitehaven on the map as a place for good quality shopping.
The Rum Story explained that they set up the online store just in time for Christmas and hope that people will take advantage of what they are offering.
Ms Mckenna added: "We have a fantastic selection of ready made, small, medium and large hampers available and also offer the service to prepare a bespoke hamper, to gift your loved ones with all their favourite treats."
