People in West Cumbria are being encouraged to explore the great outdoors with a walking event next month.
Blackdog Outdoors will be teaming up with the Outdoor Partnership in Cumbria to provide a free walking event.
Copeland and Allerdale residents are encouraged to come and experience the natural spaces that are right on their doorstep.
A spokesperson stated: "Blackdog Outdoors in partnership with The Outdoor Partnership Cumbria Next FREE walk 18th November around the Buttermere Valley, lead by professional guides.
"Perfect for beginners. Pick up free from Whitehaven Library."
The event will include transport to Buttermere from Whitehaven Library at 10am on the day.
If you are interested and you have booked at the library all information and details on pick up times will be sent out to you.
Qualified outdoor professionals will be there to assist those taking part and there will also be a focus on supporting people's mental health.
It is a low level walk and should be easily accessible for most people including beginners.
It should take around three hours for people walking at a leisurely pace.
If people are going to be attending they should bring along walking boots and suitable clothing.
