A theatre in kicked off its new exhibition, which showcases the work of local artists, by hosting an open evening.
The Rosehill theatre in Whitehaven has launched a new exhibition, titled A New Hope, that has been curated by artist Emma Hunt.
A New Hope, which launched on Tuesday October 19, showcases the work of 20 artists from the area that has been made during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The exhibition is intended as a celebration of creativity in Cumbria and gives visibility to art practices that may not have been seen by a public audience.
Emma Hunt's own work has been inspired by the Cumbrian landscape. She has used painting as a source of therapy, using it to cope with pain and some of life's challenges.
The new exhibition will be running at the Rosehill theatre until the end of December.
The opening times will be 12pm to 4pm from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and 12pm to 7.30pm on Fridays. It will also be open at least one hour before scheduled performances on Saturdays and Sundays.
