TWO Lamplugh musicians are staging another ‘Merry Neet’ this week.
Dave Camlin, from vocal group Mouthful, and his wife Angie Power are hosting an online get-together on Saturday.
Based on a Cumbrian tradition of community gatherings, Dave launched online ‘Merry Neets’ when lockdown started.
They have proved a huge hit, attracting lots of locals but also many people from away.
People can book floor slots and contribute with a song, poem, joke, dance, story or other party trick.
“This time the theme is ‘reunion’,” said Dave.
“People can join us as performers or as audience members to share songs, stories, poems, dances, jokes or anything else they fancy around the evening’s chosen theme.
“The evenings are great fun, and a good opportunity to catch up with friends old and new.”
It is hoped that this will be the last Merry Neet held exclusively online.
Everyone has to register on Zoom beforehand.
