Eighteen coronavirus deaths have been recorded by two NHS trusts with hospitals in Cumbria in the last four days.
There has been a combined total of 18 deaths recorded by the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
The North Cumbria trust announced one death on Saturday from November 12; three on Sunday from November 13 and one today from Sunday.
NHS England reported four new deaths at the Morecambe Bay Trust on Saturday, which were recorded on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; one death was announced on Sunday from Friday and one from Saturday; on Monday three deaths were revealed from Saturday; and today three deaths were announced from Sunday and one from Monday.
This takes the total since the start of the pandemic to 271 at the Morecambe Bay trust and 205 at the north Cumbria trust.
