A talented Whitehaven youngster is set to star in a new CBeebies TV programme.
Six-year-old Bobby Donald will appear in Biggleton - a live action series in which a young cast experience what it is like to work in different jobs.
He plays the part of a vet in the show which also features a young policeman, bus driver, scientist and superheroes.
Bobby's mother, Kayleigh Cullen, said he was offered the role after joining Scream Management, a casting agency based at Media City UK in Salford.
She said: "A good friend of mine, Maria Morton told us about a casting agency that were taking on Bobby's age group.
"We thought, we'll take him along to the auditions and see what happens, and they accepted him."
Bobby has starred in a number of TV adverts since being taken on by the agency, which has clients including Disney, Paramount Pictures and the BBC on its books.
He appeared in an advert for Chessington World of Adventures' Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, where he had the chance to experiment with green screen.
Kayleigh said: "He was asked to audition for CBeebies. He had two call backs and then was given the part.
"There's very little script for the show. The children are given free reign - it's all their vision.
"The set is built as a town. They give them a storyline and props and then they do their own thing."
The show was filmed at Media City UK over the summer holidays. It is due to air later this month.
presenter Eamonn Holmes will narrate the series.
Bobby and his family will attend a special screening of the programme in Manchester this week.
Kayleigh said: "It's a chance for him to meet up with the other kids - he's made some really good friends on the show."
Bobby caught the performing bug at an early age.
The youngster has grown up watching his parents perform with Whitehaven Theatre Group.
"He's been at rehearsals with us since he was a baby," Kayleigh said.
Kayleigh and her fiance, Shaun Donald, first got together when they starred in the theatre group's production of Clog Dance the Musical, ten years ago.
Last month Bobby starred in the revival of the show alongside his father, while Kayleigh, who was pregnant with their third son at the time, watched proudly from the sidelines.
"Clog Dance is the first big show Bobby's done. He absolutely loved it," Kayleigh said.
Bobby enjoys weekly singing and drama lessons and has been a member of Stage Stars Performance School since the age of three.
Kayleigh said he will also join Whitehaven Theatre of Youth when he turns seven.
When asked what was next for the promising young performer, Kayleigh said he would like to do anything on stage or TV.
"He's got a natural flair for it," she said.
"He's still really grounded and just does it for the love of it, really."
