Precious birthday memories

Remembering you is easy
we do it everyday,
But missing you is the
heartache that never goes away.
I seldom ask for miracles
but today just one would do,
to leave the door wide open
and see you walking through,
I'd wrap my arms around you
and kiss your smiling face,
for you were someone special
who could never be replaced.
