McCARTEN Margaret (nee McCracken) Peacefully at home on Monday 9th October 2023, Margaret, aged 80 years. Loving wife of Gerard, cherished mam of Lesley and Stephen, caring mother-in-law of Alan, adored grandma to Joe, Leo, Ben, Abigail and Jake, beloved sister of Dorothy, much loved sister-in-law, auntie, cousin, and friend. Requiem Mass to be held at St Begh's R.C Church, Whitehaven, on Friday 20th October at 11am followed by committal at Distington Hall. Family flowers only please, cash donations for the benefit of Hospice at Home West Cumbria or West Cumbria Society for the Blind may be left in the designated collection at the ceremony.
