McELROY Mary Teresa Teresa McElroy of Seascale, Cumbria passed away surrounded by her family at St Joseph's Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, Newcastle on Sunday 5th February 2023, aged 90. Teresa was predeceased by her husband Brian, parents, James and Annie (Tarpey), her four brothers Raymond, Jim, Tom & Joe and her three sisters Monica, Eileen and Maureen. Dearly loved mother of Andrew, Nicola, Ruth, Catherine, Helen and Kevin, fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Your legacy lives on in us, your loving family The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of St Josephs, Little Sisters of the Poor, for their unrelenting support and care. A celebration of Teresa's life will be held on Thursday 23rd of February 2023 at 12.30pm at St Joseph's Church, Seascale. Family flowers only please. Donations are welcomed to Mary's Meals, a charity Teresa supported in life. https://www.marysmeals.org.uk

The Missionaries of Charity Brothers here in Manchester, and all the co-workers who help us, remember Teresa with great affection. She opened her heart to us and the people we served, and she even opened her house, allowing us to use that beautiful farm for retreats and quiet periods. We are holding all of you in her family and among her friends in our prayers, knowing how much you will miss her - she was, and still is, in God's loving arms, a person of warmth, humour, fun, faith and joy. May all that be unending now as she basks in God's presence. Brothers Ben, Ruben, Marc Maurice, Paul and other brothers through the years, as well as co-workers and the people she helped us to serve.
