SMITH Ernest (Ernie) Peacefully, at the West Cumberland Hospital, on Wednesday 25th December 2019, Ernie, aged 92 years, loving husband of the late Ada, dearly loved dad of Ernie, Susan, Jennifer and the late Barry, dear father-in-law of Diane, Naranjan and Michael, dear grandad of Lisa, Anne-Marie and Glenn and great-grandad of Elsie, Harry and Nancy. Funeral service to be held at St Begh's Church, Whitehaven, on Friday 10th January at 2:00pm, followed by cremation at Distington Hall. Family flowers only please, donations may be made payable to Great North Air Ambulance and sent via Eaves Funeral Service. Tel: 01946 694213.
