JOHNSTON George On 26th October 2018, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, George slipped peacefully away, aged 61, beloved husband of Janice, much loved father of Rebecca and Kelly, devoted grandfather to Charlotte and Lola and father-in-law to Liam. Funeral service to be held at Distington Hall Crematorium, on Thursday, 1st November at 11.15am, followed by refreshments at Whitehaven Golf Club. Family flowers are requested but donations would be appreciated and may be made payable to the Loweswater Suite and sent via Eaves Funeral Service. Tel. 01946 694213.

George was a dear friend with whom I had sadly lost touch. I have only very recently learned of his death, I am so very sad to hear that he is gone. Heart felt sympathy to Janice, whom he absolutely adored, and to his girls, Kelly and Rebecca.

George was a lovely gentleman and will be missed by all who knew him, particularly his friends in freemasonry where he was an extremely active and dedicated member. Condolences go to Janice and his immediate family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. After all you have suffered George, you have earned your final sleep. R.I.P.
