BURGESS, James - Passed away peacefully at the West Cumberland Hospital on Tuesday, 10th January 2017, aged 93 years, beloved husband of the late Dorothy and also much mourned by his son David and his daughter Anne, his son-in-law Greg, his grandchildren John, Stephen and Kirsten, his sister Joyce and brother-in-law Deryk and all his family. Funeral service to take place in the United Reformed Church, Whitehaven on Friday, 27th January 2017 at 11.00am, followed by cremation at Distington Hall Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Macmillan Cancer Support c/o Adams, Read & Hocking Funeral Directors, Towerson Street Funeral Home, Towerson Street, Cleator, CA23 3EL.
