JACKSON, Jennifer (Jen) (neé Hetherington) - Aged 73 years, wife, mother, nan, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in the West Cumberland Hospital on 27th September 2017, following a severe heart attack at home earlier in the day, despite every effort and means available the emergency team were unable to successfully revive her. The family thank the doctors and nurses and the bereavement support services, coroner, registrar and all those involved for the remarkable services they provided, also the emergency services, ambulance, paramedic, the funeral directors Adams Read & Hocking for their services and Janice for her help at the tribute in the Conservative Club. Special thanks to Rev Richard Lee who conducted the funeral service delivering a talk that summarised Jen's life personally to them, whether family, work colleagues, bingo player, bowler, country music follower or darts player, a shy unassuming local girl who brought humour and fun in her own particular style. The daughter of a miner she was Simply the Best, may she rest in peace, cards and messages of sympathy are a great comfort to husband Jack and her family. Donations collected via Adams, Read & Hocking will close on 10th November and the funds divided between Macmillan Nurses and Hospice at Home. The final interment service for family only will be held at a later date in Egremont Cemetery.
