THORNTON, J.C. (Jim) - Aged 85 years, of Broad Oak, Ravenglass. Peacefully at West Cumberland Hospital on Friday, 28th July 2017, husband of Edna, father of Robert and Richard, also father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather. Thanksgiving Service for the life of Jim will be held at St Michael's Church, Muncaster on Tuesday, 8th August 2017 at 1.00pm. Family flowers only, donations, if so desired, to the Alzheimer's Society c/o NB Southward Funeral Director, Mill Gate, Broad Oak, Ravenglass, CA18 1RS. Tel 01229 717258.
