MESSENGER, John (Jackie) - The family of the late Jackie Messenger would like to say thank you to everyone who attended his funeral at St. Peter's Church, Kells, the Crematorium and the Civic Hall. Also to everyone for the cards, Facebook messages, texts and condolence messages we received and for the donations to the West Cumberland Hospital A&E Charitable Fund. We are ALL truly humbled and overwhelmed by the number of friends Jackie had. Special mention to Shaun Sandham, Vicar at St. Peter's, for the wonderful Service, Michael Branney and staff of Eaves Funeral Services for their help, guidance and professionalism, Anne Kelly and staff of the Civic Hall who were fantastic and Jean's Flower Boutique for the beautiful floral tributes. Also last but certainly not least, the ambulance crews, the surgeons, anaesthetists and staff of Cumberland Infirmary on both Beech Ward and Intensive Care, and Dr Cathy Middleton, nurses Emily Ashbridge and Louise Watson, and Mr Mike Walker amongst others at West Cumberland Hospital A&E who looked after our Dad in his final hours.
